I'm figuring all those mums out there are pretty happy with a breakfast in bed? But what if us boys can do a breakfast followed up by a fantastic dinner! 

It will blow her mind with or without the kids.

 

Mike's slow cooked goodness

2 Tbsp oil

2 medium onions, sliced

4 garlic, sliced

500 diced lamb shoulder

1 tsp salt 

1 tbsp ground cumin powder, turmeric, paprika

6 cardamon pods

1 cinnamon stick

pinch white pepper

2 large tomatoes

1 Tbsp tomato paste

2 cups chicken stock

  1. Heat a heavy-based ovenproof pot. Add oil followed by the onions, garlic. Heat on high heat until onions are just starting to colour.
  2. Add drained lamb, season with salt and sauté until well coloured.
  3. Next comes all the spice, then the tomatoes, paste and chicken stock. 
  4. Cover and place into a pre heated oven on 180 for 30- 40 minutes. 
  5. Serve with couscous (follow packet instructions), almonds, coriander and freshly squeezed lemon.
