Cooking tips for the Christmas season

It seems we rarely leave the kitchen during Christmas.

From hams and turkeys to cakes and treats, there is plenty to keep us busy.

With all the tips and secrets to making that perfect Christmas dinner, Nici Wickes joined Tim Beveridge to answer all caller's questions.

Though the show was stolen by Hazel from Henderson, who got everyone in a buzz with her pavlova recipe!

Hazel's Pavlova:

5 egg whites

1 1/2 caster sugar
4 TBSP boiling water

1 tsp cornflour

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp vinegar

Beat until stiff

Line tray with baking paper

180 degrees for 15 minutes.  120 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes
