Celebrity chef and paleo advocate Pete Evans - husband of Kiwi Nicola Robinson, previously known as model and socialite Nicky Watson - has once again been thrust under the spotlight, this time for putting his children through therapy as one year old's.

Psychologist Sara Chetwin says there might have been some good reasons for this.

"I wouldn't say it's anything other than the parents giving the children the option of another person to talk to."
