Welcome to ZB PLUS – where you get more views on today’s news.

I’m Philip Crump – the founding editor of ZB PLUS. Until a few weeks ago I was an anonymous blogger and writer behind the popular blog, Cranmer’s Substack. My professional career has been as a commercial lawyer, for the most part based in the United Kingdom. But since returning to New Zealand, I’ve applied the skills that I’ve developed drilling into the details and presenting them to maximum effect in relation to the news of the day.

It’s no secret that media in New Zealand is undergoing a revolution as it moves from print to digital. With ZB PLUS we aim to build on New Zealand’s leading radio station with quality journalism and respected opinion writers making ZB PLUS a go-to platform for news and commentary.

We’ll be expanding on our agenda-setting programmes from Newstalk ZB’s hugely popular Mike Hosking and Heather du Plessis-Allan with senior journalists and the most insightful thought leaders and opinion makers.

We intend to build a new voice in New Zealand journalism that tackles the biggest issues in the country, breaks news and stands up for everyday Kiwis. Nothing will be off the table.

As we head into this crucial election and the inevitable coalition negotiations, stick with ZB PLUS for the news and opinion that will keep you really informed, including hearing directly from the key players.

Katherine Rich: A business advisor and former National MP. She is currently interim CEO of the Aged Care Association Katherine and brings huge experience in the public and private sector.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be announcing our expanded editorial team, more columnists and much more.  Welcome to the revolution!
