A police investigation has been launched into an unexplained death of a man in the Far North overnight.
Emergency services were called to a rural Wekaweka Rd property in Waimamaku, south of the Hokianga Harbour, about 8.45pm.
Police said the man was found dead on arrival.
Northland CIB Detective Senior Sergeant Christan Fouhy said the circumstances around his death were being treated as unexplained.
A scene examination of the property as well as a post-mortem examination were underway.
