Police were forced to take drastic actions to stop a vehicle after an alleged attempted burglary on Auckland’s North Shore.
A police patrol car was used to bring the vehicle to a stop after those inside allegedly tried to break into a petrol station overnight.
The silver car was stopped on Owens Rd in Epsom - about 14km away from where the incident started at a gas station on the North Shore, a police officer on the ground said.
A witness at the scene in Epsom said spikes had been put down to stop the car - before a police patrol car forced it to a complete stop.
