Nine New Zealand locations have made it onto the Lonely Planet's Ultimate Travelist.
Lonely Planet's put together what it calls the 500 most thrilling, memorable and interesting places in the world.
Fiordland National Park's made the list at number 17, Abel Tasman National Park's at number 33, and Franz Josef and Fox Glacier's at 81.
Lake Wanaka has made it inside the top 100 as well - at number 94.
Stewart Island, the Bay of Islands, Whakarewarewa, the Waitomo Caves and Te Papa have also made it inside the top 300.
The Lonely Planet has put 40 years of research into the list.
