There's been a lot of commotion about the state of the food at Dunedin Hospital.

Both the food in the hospital kitchen and the staff cafe are made by Compass.

Otago/Southland reporter Matiu Workman went along to Dunedin Hospital to try the chef's choice for the evening - Lemon peppered fish, silverbeet, pumpkin and mash potato.

Is it as bad as people say it is?
