Winston Peters says he's begun legal proceedings against Speaker Trevor Mallard.Â
The Speaker issued Peters a trespass notice early last month, over visiting the Parliament occupation in February.Â
Peters told Newstalk ZB’s The Country the notice was withdrawn that day.Â
He says he was frustrated by a lack of communication and gave his lawyers instructions yesterday to issue proceedings.Â
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has emphasised the trespass notices had no bearing on Mallard’s departure from Parliament.
