It seems everyone is a moron today in Winston Peters’ eyes.
The Deputy Prime Minister had a fiery exchange with The Country’s Jamie Mackay, hitting out over the foreign home ownership ban and the latest poll results.
Peters says he is unfazed by the latest Colmar Brunton poll, which suggests the Labour and Green parties could govern without New Zealand First.
He says the polls are rarely right, and says the media gives them too much attention.
Peters says that too many people in those organsations are morons as well as arrogant and stubborn.
He also hit back over questions that preventing sales to overseas buyers is damaging rural New Zealand, suggesting that it was dumb to think that the best way to get young New Zealanders on the housing market was to open it up to the world.
Peters says that’s the kind of moronic thinking that has damaged New Zealand farming interest.
