Winston Peters is determined to establish more sanctions around the Jobseekers benefit to boost the economy.

A new report recently claimed that the average time spent on the benefit is 13 years- and Peters aims to turn those numbers around.

"Our intention is to find them work, and there's going to have to be penalties is you don't take the job on."

He joined The Country's Jamie Mackay to discuss.
