Jacinda Ardern warns never to underestimate NZ First

The Prime Minister says that Labour is polling better than people seem to realise.

The latest OneNews Colmar Brunton poll both Labour and National lost ground slightly, but National is streets ahead on 46%, while Labour is on 39%.

The big mover was ACT, with David Seymour's recent hard work paying off - ACT was on 2%, doubling its support.

But Labour and the Greens combined have almost the same amount of support as National and ACT.

Speaking with The Country, Jacinda Ardern says that she tries not to live by the polls as they can a distraction.

She does acknowledge it is important to know what people know.

"Labour is still doing better in [this poll] than when we formed the Government. I still think we've got a good line of confidence. The majority of the New Zealanders in that poll were supporting the Government."

However, not all coalition partners are looking as confident.

NZ First is still on 4 percent and at this stage would not get back into Parliament.

Ardern says that people should "never underestimate New Zealand First".

On the bump of support for Act, Ardern says that leader David Seymour did a lot of work for the End of Life Choice Bill.

"He did work very hard, I absolutely acknowledge that."
