Jacinda Ardern is preparing to unveil a minor Cabinet reshuffle.

The Prime Minister will announce changes at a post-Cabinet media conference at 3pm.

There's been mounting criticism of some Government ministers, with National saying Police Minister Poto Williams should lose her portfolio over her handling of the recent spate of gang crime.

Leader Christopher Luxon told The Country he believes his front-bench now outperforms Cabinet across the board.

“We’ve actually got a really good team, I’ve put the right people on the right assignments in the right places, and that’s what a good leader should do to build a great team that can do a good job.”
