The day after the midterm elections, President Donald Trump held a tense and combative press conference at the White House.
Despite Democrats winning enough seats to take control of the House of Representatives, the President struck an upbeat and at times hostile tone.
Speaking to The Country, Newstalk ZB political editor Barry Soper said watching the behaviour from President Trump reminded him of an earlier New Zealand Prime Minister.
" I found the confrontation he had with the CNN reporter reminded me of Rob Muldoon's press conferences where he would throw people out. They are both bullies."
