Could there be a challenge to Simon Bridges' leadership in the next few weeks?
A UMR poll has the National Party below 30 per cent while Labour is at 55 per cent.
Jacinda Ardern sits at 65 per cent in the preferred Prime Minister ranking, while Opposition leader Simon Bridges is at seven per cent.
Newstalk ZB political editor Barry Soper says National Party MP's he's spoken to were dissatisfied with Bridges as leader anyway, but now the chattering has moved up a notch.
He says Bridges will certainly be aware of it and if he was in his shoes, he'd be very worried.
