LYNDA HALLINAN: Gardening
Green gifts to organise now for Christmas, because if you pot things up now, they'll be bedded in nicely by the time Santa has to deliver them.
1. A herb planter. Herbs make a lovely gift for gardeners, non-gardeners and cooks - basically anyone who likes to eat. Provided the pot you choose is of a good size (at least 10 litres), you can create a nifty portable planter for the holidays. For a keen fisherman, pot up herbs such as parsley, dill, chervil and fennel. For someone with a pizza oven, pot up basil, thyme and oregano. For salad lovers, go for chives, rocket, a punnet of lettuce seedlings etc. And of course, for the summer cocktail maker (my favourite sort of person) you can bung together a bucket of different mints.
2. How about a hardy hanging basket of succulents, or a terrarium with baby cacti. Garden centres and hardware stores have all the ingredients you need.
3. Choose a plant with special significance - a rose with a friend's name, or a shrub. The Royal Horticultural Society's plant finder website - they call it a "horticultural database" is an excellent tool as you can type in common names such as Bob or Sandra etc and see what it comes up with.
See: http://apps.rhs.org.uk/horticulturaldatabase
4. Or how about my fabulous preserving book Foggydale Farm Jam Sessions? You can order it now from my friends at Country Trading and you'll get a free limited edition set of 5 Christmas cards featuring my favourite recipes, including Damson Gin and my world-famous (in Hunua) All Blacks Jam... a rugby blend of front-row flavours including Blackboy peaches, Black Satin blackberries and Black Doris plums with a naughty nip of almond liqueur. Special offer at:

BOB CAMPBELL: Wine
Wine of the Week:
I’m tasting Rosé now so I’ve chosen Momo 2016 Organic Rose $19.99 from Marlborough. It’s made by Seresin. It really does taste organic. It’s beautifully dry and delicate and wonderfully pure. It’s a hot favourite for becoming my house wine this summer.

ANDREW DICKENS: Music
The Rolling Stones "Blue and Lonesome" - Andrew's verdict: 9/10.
Love it. They’ve got some fire in their belly again. They’ve become the old blues guys they used to adore. Mick Jagger plays a mean harmonica throughout while Charlie Watts still has the heaviest foot in rock. A reminder of why they’ve been so good for so long. Old time fans are going to love it.
