UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has confirmed a general election will take place July 4th. Â
It comes as the ruling Conservative party trails Labour by 20 points in the polls. Â
UK political commentator Rod Liddle told Mike Hosking that despite that, Labour's not in a good position with its deputy being investigated by police and split views over Gaza. Â
He says they're also in trouble in that no one really knows what they stand for, but that might not matter as the polls show everyone's had enough of the Tories.Â
