A push from the Government to keep motorists' eyes on the road, and off the phone screen.
It's upping the fine for using a mobile while driving; from $80 to $150 from the end of the month.
Transport Minister Michael Wood told Mike Hosking 22 drivers died while distracted by their phones between 2015 and 2019.
He says that's a terrible toll and they want to send a message that the practice is not safe.
Wood says later this year they're having a review of all driving fees and infringement offences.
There were 22 road deaths where drivers where distracted by mobiles between 2015 and 2019.
