Extra seats are being brought in for the thousands expected to attend Sir Brian Lochore's funeral in his hometown today.
His funeral's being held at Memorial Park in Masterton at 1pm.
The former All Blacks captain and coach died on the weekend, after a battle with bowel cancer.
Funeral organiser Graeme Reisima told Mike Hosking Sir Brian organised the catering and asked for a "farmer's funeral".
“The only thing Sir Brian organised was the caterer and left the rest to them. Sir Brian wanting a farmer's funeral showed he was humble til the end.”
Reisima says they're a bit nervous they might not be able to host everyone, but he's sure it will be but it will be a special occasion.
