Police pleased with new counter-terrorism legislation

The union representing police officers thinks new counter-terrorism legislation is making moves in the right direction.

The Bill follows the Royal Commission into the Christchurch terror attack and will boost responses to terror in New Zealand.

Police Association president Chris Cahill told Mike Hosking it's good to see planning and preparing for a terror event, becoming an offence.

He says current legislation doesn't catch the lone-wolf.
