LISTEN ABOVE: Mike Hosking talks to president of the Abortion Law Reform Association, Terry Ballamak, about wanting a change in abortion laws.Â
The comment comes as Bill English says he won't liberalise abortion laws.
Currently a woman can only get an abortion if her mental or physical health is at risk, or if there's a risk of having a mentally disabled child - otherwise it's a crime.
Abortion Law Reform Association Terry Ballamak president told Mike Hosking it's time abortion laws were liberalised.
"Abortion is healthcare, but currently it's not delivered by healthcare. The government has no role passing judgement on the reasons someone wants an abortion."
