Willie Jackson is strongly distancing the Government from the controversial He Puapua report.
The Maori Development Minister was at pains to make that point in his speech this afternoon.
Jackson says He Puapua – commissioned by the Government to look into Maori co-governance initiatives – simply shows areas of aspiration for Maori.
He says it's not Government policy and the report will not be advanced any further.
However, Jackson is not ruling out adopting parts of He Puapua.
