Australia has around 80 days worth of fuel left with the government boosting the nations fuel reserves in order to become self sufficient.
When fuel prices plummeted at the start of the coronavirus outbreak the Australian government spent around $90 million dollars in stockpiling fuel and storing it in the United States.
However as 6PR's Oliver Peterson puts it "Quite simply we don't have the room at our four refineries"
"The federal government is going to commit $200 million...to boost the capacity at the refineries"
The idea being the more fuel in the country the less money people will have to pay at the pump.
