There is controversy over the timing and location of Israel Folau's multimillion dollar court battle against Rugby Australia.
The former Wallabies player maintains he was unfairly dismissed over his controversial Instagram post and want them reinstated and $10 million in damages.
An initial trial has been set down for February next year with Rugby Australia determined not to have the case go to trial until after September's World Cup.
It also made an application late last night to have the case moved to Sydney's Federal Court.
But as Sydney Morning Herald chief rugby reporter Georgina Robinson told Heather du-Plessis Allan Folau's legal team doesn't agree.
"Folau's team sees that as a delaying tactic, a cynical tactic to slow it all down and drain Folau of resources to fight his costs, and that really played out in arguments in court today."
