The United Kingdom has introduced new Covid-19 restrictions with group sizes limited to just six.
Families of seven or more need not fear as they are excluded from the rule. As are children under 11 in Wales and under 12 in Scotland.
The government is also introducing Covid marshals to ensure the rule of six is being followed in urban centres.
UK correspondent Gavin Grey says with Christmas just around the corner the new rules could put the holiday in jeopardy.
Larger gatherings are still allowed at gyms, schools, places of worship and wedding and funerals. But Grey says the rule of six will impact how people entertain each other.
Over 3000 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the UK in the last 24 hours with real fears of a second spike on the way.
