A series of 'shovel-ready' infrastructure projects will create more than 1200 jobs, in the wake of COVID-19.
11 major projects, including Auckland's SkyPath and a Wellington rail upgrade, have been fast-tracked by the Government.
Infrastructure New Zealand chief executive Paul Blair told Kate Hawkesby the list of projects looks good.
"It's hard to argue against things like water storage facilities being built up north, and the Skypath which has been talked about for a decade. To me, these are excellent projects.'
Paul Blair says they need to start work on them now.
"Minister David Parker is saying 25-50 days to get these consented, but consents aren't dollars or shovels in the hand."
