Last week, residents of Kaiapoi were shocked and saddened to learn of damage that had been done to RSA headstones at Kaiapoi Cemetery. 

Vandals had deliberately removed bronze RSA plaques from a number of headstones, and burn out marks were also discovered near some of the grave sites. 

Waimakariri District Mayor, Dan Gordon, joined John MacDonald on Newstalk ZB Canterbury Mornings to encourage anyone with information to please contact the Council or Police.
