As Parliament resumes today, questions continue to swirl around Mike Sabin - and why he wasn't stood down from a senior position while facing a police investigation.

Police Minister Michael Woodhouse still won't say if he was briefed on the investigation last year, under a no-surprises policy.

He says he won't comment on what those "confidential briefings" entail.

Mr Woodhouse says he briefs the prime minister on police matters on an "as-required" basis.
