Children under 13 will ride public transport for free, while those under 25 travel at half price, at a cost of $327 million.

Funding will also allow transport authorities to raise the base wage rate to $30 an hour for urban bus drivers, and $28 an hour for regional.

The electric vehicle charging network is also set to expand with 23 new charging hubs, and public charging for all towns of 2000 or more.

That'll cost $120 million  over four years, and will see charging hubs every 200 kilometers on main highways.
