Newstalk ZB listeners in New Plymouth will need to retune their radios from 1053 AM to the 96.4 FM frequency.
In mid-November, the radio transmitter site at Bell Block in New Plymouth will be decommissioned. The transmitter serves some areas north of New Plymouth and some areas south and south-west of the city. Radio listeners on AM frequencies served by the site will need to retune to alternative frequencies to continue receiving the station.
Amongst the affected stations will be Newstalk ZB’s 1053 AM frequency. Listeners will need to re-tune to the 96.4 FM frequency or listen at www.iheartradio.co.nz or on the iHeartRadio app.
