A tramper has been rescued in the Tararua Ranges after getting stuck in a gully this morning.
The Rescue Coordination Centre was alerted after the man activated a personal beacon at around 8:40.
He was found in what rescuers say was a precarious situation on the side of a hill.
A helicopter winched the man to safety and he's been taken to Masterton Hospital for a check-up.
