Rescue crews have rushed to Piha this afternoon after a person fell off the rocks and into the notoriously treacherous water.
Police said they were called to assist their “emergency rescue colleagues” at 2.37pm.
The police’s Eagle helicopter is being used to help search for the person in the water.
