A new fire safety campaign in Auckland is proving so successful, it's now being rolled out to the rest of the country.
Eleven fire stations have been using a website called Neighbourly to provide information about local events and messages.
They've also used it to provide timely support and advice on smoke alarm installation, fire prevention and faulty product recalls.
Auckland City assistant area manager Mike Shaw says the site has provided a direct contact between stations and their communities.
They're now looking at a national partnership.
