A hitchhiker accused of stabbing a person after they'd given him a ride, has been remanded in custody.
Corey Whittaker appeared in the Palmerston North District Court this afternoon, on a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police say the 29-year-old hospitalised a person, who gave him a ride from Wanganui to the outskirts of Palmerston North on Saturday night.
Whittaker hasn't entered any pleas and has been remanded in custody until December 2.
