A person has been arrested after a search warrant was executed at a property in Auckland’s Mt Albert.

Police told the Herald a pre-planned search warrant was executed at a property on Woodward Rd in the early hours of yesterday morning.

One person was arrested in relation to undisclosed items found at the address.

A police spokesperson said the Armed Offenders Squad and Clandestine Laboratory Response staff were present as a precaution.

A Herald photographer at the scene said there were several police vehicles and armed officers, a fire engine, a St John ambulance and a police Eagle helicopter hovering overhead.

Inquiries are continuing as part of an ongoing investigation.
