The Lorraine Motel in Memphis is one of the most notorious in the US.
On April 4 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was fatally shot there by James Early Ray.Â
For over 50 years, the motel has been associated with the death of one of the world's greatest ever campaigners for civil rights.
Now, it is the home of a museum celebrating King's life and everything that he and others fought decades for.
Blogger at Large Megan Singleton recently visited, and told Francesca Rudkin what a fascinating but macabre place it is to visit.Â
