Stars, friends and family have been paying tribute to Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, who passed away this morning.

LISTEN: Entertainment journalist and friend of Carrie Fisher, Jeanne Wolf, joined Andrew Dickens to talk about the iconic actress’ legacy.

A friend of Carrie Fisher said the actress had a big appetite for drugs, which may have lead to her ill health and death.

The 60-year-old actress had a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles five days ago and died today.

Carrie Fisher was best known for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars.

Her friend Jeanne Wolf told Andrew Dickens the actress started self-medicating in her teens to deal with manic episodes.

She said Fisher tried everything after that.

"She suffered with an enormous painful depression."
