While both US presidential nominees warm up for their third and final televised debate, there are hints this won't be the last we see of Donald Trump on TV.

There are rumours he wants to launch his own TV channel, whether he wins the presidency or not.

US political correspondent Dominic Carter told Mike Hosking he thought this was nonsense, but his sources tell him otherwise.

"There've been overtures by people from his behalf, and I think he's going to do that in an attempt on the right to take on Fox Television News."

Fox News is a major TV network in the USA that generally supports conservative policies and politicians.
