A refugee help service says housing is a concern when it comes to resettling them in New Zealand.
It comes as Immigration Minister Iain Lees-Galloway says we need to make sure we have the homes to accept 500 more refugees per year to meet the government's target.
Labour had previously promised to double our refugee intake from 750 to 1500.
Refugees as Survivors CEO Dr Ann Hood told Mike Hosking finding enough homes is a significant concern.
"At the end of each intake at Mangere, we have up to 70 people who have to remain on site because a house is not available, so that creates a level of anxiety for the family."
