Praise from an unlikely source for the Green Party's climate change policy.
It's planning to invent a 'Kiwi Climate Fund' that would replace the Emissions Trading Scheme.
It would charge polluters more, and would provide a payment to people who plant trees, particularly en masse.
Federated Farmers deputy president Andrew Hoggard told Rachel Smalley the policy isn't as bad for agriculture as Labour's is.
"There going to allow us to include native stand forests, riparian planting... other things as part of the equation, so I am still trying to work it out for my farm. But yeah I am still not actually sure I am going to pay anything."
