The Co-Leader of the Maori Party's been involved in appointing his own party's president to a government funded job.

Te Ururoa Flavell, in his capacity as Minister of Whanau Ora has, along with the Finance Minister, appointed Maori Party president Naida Glavish to the Whanau Ora Partnership Group.

The group's been set up to have a governance role over the multi-million dollar Whanau Ora programme.
