Another Labour MP has been referred to the Privileges Committee over criticism of Parliament's Speaker.
Port Hills MP Ruth Dyson is the latest to be referred - this time over criticism she made about Speaker David Carter via her Twitter account.
Deputy Speaker Chester Borrows has made the ruling after a complaint was lodged by National Party whip Tim MacIndoe
"It is for the privileges committee to determine whether the comments in this instance amount to contempt," the Deputy Speaker said. Â
The ruling was greeted with audible dissent by Labour MPs in Parliament's debating chamber.
