The organisers of the Wellington Sevens have slashed the price of tickets for next year's tournament.
Prices have gone down for general admission tickets, from $199 to $149 while those in the premium zone will be cut from $235 to $195.
New Sevens Wellington General Manager Steve Dunbar says the move reflected the determination of organisers to ensure the tournaments remains a top event in the city.
He says they're confident the prices will encourage more people embrace it.
