Mystery surrounds armed police call out in Christchurch

Police are speaking to witnesses after an incident that sparked an AOS callout in Templeton, on the outskirts of Christchurch

Around 30 police officers, dogs and an ambulance were on the scene on Trents Road around 6.30 this morning.

Police say they were responding to varied calls from residents..

Some were saying a vehicle had crashed and others that there was a firearms incident.

Police do not believe anyone was injured, but are continuing with their inquires.
