A body has been found on a rural property in Christchurch.
Christchurch Police confirmed the body was found on a property in Woodend yesterday.
Police have started a homicide investigation but say there is not thought to be any risk to the public.
Police have also said they are in the early stages of the investigation and are not able to offer further comment.
