National health figures show alcohol-related harm in Canterbury has almost halved since before the earthquakes.
The New Zealand Health Survey 2011-14 shows hazardous drinking in Canterbury is at 9.7 percent.
That compares to 18.8 percent in the 2006/07 survey.
High blood pressure, asthma and anxiety disorders all saw a small increase after the quakes.
However psychological stress remained roughly the same.
