When you hear the name Dennis Conner the first thing that comes to mind is the America's Cup.
The sometimes-brash American has a long connection with the Auld Mug, so much so his nickname is Mr. America’s Cup.
His determination, trickery and shear skill on and off the water has seen him win 28 World Championships, 4 America’s Cup victories, twice around the world and an Olympic medal.
Conner hasn't always had the public on his side, especially here in Aotearoa but love him or loath him he will remain a legend in sailing for many years to come.
In Episode Five of The Superior Sailor Series D’Arcy Waldegrave talks to Dennis Conner about his love of the America’s, competing and New Zealand.
