Laura Langman's scooped the big honours at Netball New Zealand's awards night in Auckland.

The Silver Ferns centre has received the Dame Lois Muir award as well as being named Silver Ferns and ANZ Championship player of the year.

Langman says the most rewarding thing is the progression the Silver Ferns have made.

"It has been a whirlwind year, ups and downs, but I think on the whole the progression that we made as a Silver Ferns unit, that was my favourite moment."

"That was inspiring stuff."

She said it's hard to take all the praise herself.

"It's very hard to single a player out of a team and we've developed a culture in the Ferns where we play for each other and we play to contribute to our team recipe so I feel like when I step out there I'm just doing my job."

Silver Ferns and Northern Mystics wing defence Kayla Cullen has been named people's choice winner.

Waikato and Bay of Plenty Magic coach Julie Fitzgerald has been named New Zealand's ANZ Championship coach of the year.

Meanwhile Casey Kopua concedes her pregnancy may have forced her into retirement from netball.

The Silver Ferns captain has withdrawn from selection for the 2016 squad as she is pregnant with her first child.

She said she may have pulled the black dress on for the last time.

"It's possible, we don't know. Terry and I are just going with the flow because it's our first child so we don't know how I'm going to go with that."

Casey Kopua said she was battling health problems throughout the recent Constellation Cup series against Australia.
