Nigel Yalden's 2016 All Blacks First XV

It's been a year to remember for the All Blacks, who stretched their unbeaten run across 2016 to include a record-breaking feat of consecutive wins.

This came despite losing a huge group of key players after the 2015 World Cup, including the likes of Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, Conrad Smith and Ma'a Nonu.

Over the 2016 home season, the All Blacks put away Wales, Australia, South Africa and Argentina, four teams that could have considered the possibility of scoring an upset win.

The season also saw the emergence of a new group of future stars, the re-emergence of some players who might have considered their chances of playing international rugby slipping away, and a core group of stalwarts continuing the simply be the best at their jobs.

Newstalk ZB/Radio Sport Rugby Editor Nigel Yalden cast his eye over the standouts of the season, and picked his All Blacks First XV from the 2016 home season.
