The Western District Health Service had an unusual patient visit their A&E department in the early hours of the morning last month. 

A Koala nicknamed 'Blinky Bill' sauntered in and had a wander round the casualty department, which was all caught on CCTV.

Hospital workers were so delighted with the footage, they shared it on their Facebook page. Blinky Bill was soon a viral hit. 

In an area where Koalas frequent gardens and other local spots, the health service's chief executive Rohan Fitzgerald told AFP Blinky Bill was the most "casual" and "brazen" koala he had ever encountered.
